The Long Walk (2025 Film Adaptation)
Where to Find: Digital release of film available via the usual suspects 
Requested Characters: Peter McVries, Ray Garratty
Details: I love a good homoerotic tragedy 
Prompts: 
Orpheus & Eurydice retelling- They are so perfect for this you would be forgiven in thinking the homage was intentional. I’m still heartbroken over how the one time Pete doesn’t turn around to grab Ray is when he loses him. I will be happy with however you decided to interpret this prompt: whether you’d like to do a straight retelling by just copy and pasting these characters into the original Greek myth, you decide to follow a structure similar to Hadestown, or if you want to keep it within the canon and have it so after winning the long walk, Pete is offered an opportunity to retrieve Ray from death via some supernatural or extradimensional loophole (I know this is one of King’s more grounded works but there’s enough precedence for weird shit in so much of his bibliography that I’ll accept whatever explanation you come up with). I’m not necessarily opposed to them getting a happily ever after, but the tragedy of their love 
Soulmate AU- They are literally soulmates don’t @ me. Would love to see it be a one-sided realization at the beginning of the walk (if it’s Pete I could see a more melancholic reaction that might also account for how he looks out for 

Final Destination (films)

Details: Binged all the films earlier this year and fell head over heels with the franchise and its many absurdities. The third one might be favorite of the bunch and these two characters are why. I love that they merely tolerated each other before the deaths of their significant others, but were bound to each other as survivors trying to outsmart death. 

Prompts:
Soulmate AU: neither had found their soulmate yet but the experience of initially outmaneuvering death triggered their soulmarks/soul bounds and they have to confront the horror of that revelation and how it occurred while trying to survive 
Married w/kids future fic: they managed to survive death (possibly in the same way Kimberly from FD2 did) and are now married with children and struggling w/paranoia and anxiety surrounding their continued survival and how that impacts their relationship with each other and their family 

F1 (2025 film)
Where to Find: Apple TV
Characters- Sonny Hayes, Ruben 
Details- Saw this film as a bonding exercise with my F1 loving father and walked away delighted by the old man yaoi at its heart. The relationship between Sonny and Ruben has several interesting layers to it and enough ambiguity, especially regarding their shared past, to play around with.
