Oxventure- Happen/Lug (Wyrdwood)

The amusing, odd couple dynamic between these two caught my attention from the very first episode and has yet to relinquish its hold as we barrel forward into the show's second season this summer. I love that even though Happen is the human one of the pair, he's an absolute freak whose religious fervor makes everyone else seem normal by comparison, but especially Lug, who is as chill and pragmatic as ever a character could be in this company. Happen's fascination with Lug's quite preternatural unluckiness and Lug's annoyance at that attention is already an absolute goldmine for fun, romcom shenanigans, but when you factor in Happen's own backstory with the fiance he essentially jilted because his goddess didn't bless their union, you open up even more story possibilities. I'm especially tickled by the idea of them participating in a fake marriage for the sake of their company's mission, but a series of extenuating and bizarre circumstances prevent them from annulling it, which Happen of course takes as a sign that their union is blessed by his goddess and Lug takes as a sign the universe is laughing at him. Feel free to include some angst between these characters as well. Perhaps Lug feels something for Happen but is holding himself back from any sort of commitment because of how much Happen's zealotry dictates his actions. On Happen's end, maybe he still feels guilt over his previous engagement and how he broke it off, which is part of why he latches on to any union that looks to have his goddess's favor. While I'd like the primary focus to be on these two and their relationship, including the other members of their party and any reactions they might have to this union is absolutely welcome. 

The Dark Pictures: House of Ashes- Jason Kolchek/Salim Othman

I love how these two essentially speedrun an enemies-to-lovers arc in the span of a day during the worst possible circumstances. They're literally fighting on opposites sides of a war, but come together to survive an onslaught on alien attacks underground, which is PEAK romance to me. I'd like to see any fic that has them reuniting post-canon (one where they all survived, pls & thx), preferably where Salim leaves for London to be close to Zain and Jason eventually follows (it'd be a fun twist on the trope if Jason is the one who has to marry Salim to stay in the UK longterm/indefinitely). Since the game takes place in 2003 and gay marriage wouldn't be legal in either the UK or United States until about and over a decade later, feel free to include that detail in the fic (the two of them making plans they aren't sure will ever happen, experiencing jealousy/longing at friends' weddings they attend,etc.). Also, any proposal/engagement/marriage fic that includes Jason building a relationship with Zain is a plus, as well as any that fixates on this relationship/marriage being the second one for Salim. I'd be interested in reading a fic that combines the two, with Salim & Zain having a serious conversation about what changes a second marriage (let alone one so wildly different from the first) could bring to their family, especially since it's implied that Salim raised Zain on his own for a while.

I immediately fell head over heels for the rivals-to-lovers, opposites attract, grumpy/sunshine dynamics between these two. They're so much fun together and it's a treat to watch their relationship deepen over the course of the game as they essentially get a free ride into each other's psyche courtesy of the stories they write. While I did request at least two prompts that could take place during their time at Rader, navigating the worlds in their stories (Science Fiction- Marriage is a Requirement to Pilot Giant Robots & Magic- Magical Marriage Required to Bring Prosperity And Growth to Ruined Land), I'm really intrigued by how a relationship (and marriage) could function between them in the real world. Especially with them being co-authors of what we could assume was a successful novel. Feel free to speculate on what a marriage between them could look like as they navigate their newfound celebrity, how the public would react, what kind of speculation would occur surrounding their relationship, and how a PR team could exploit that relationship for the book's release (or future sequels). I'd definitely be  open to a fic that's essentially a compilation of social media reactions and speculation over the nature of the relationship between these two new authors or whether their recent highly publicized marriage was real or just a well-crafted PR stunt.
